The Emergency Medicine Interest Group (EMIG) is thrilled to announce the inaugural McGill Emergency Medicine Conference (MEMC).

Led entirely by students, MEMC brings together the brightest minds from our medical program to host a series of engaging workshops and presentations. Our focus is to provide a comprehensive update on various aspects of emergency healthcare.

ABSTRACT COMPETITION
Abstract submissions are welcomed and should explore topics related to emergency medicine. This can encompass a wide range of projects, including the following:
Research
Qualitative or quantitative
Education
Innovation, quantitative research or qualitative research
Quality improvement & patient safety
[QIPS - meant for QI methodology projects (e.g., Model for Improvement, Plan-Do-Study-Act cycles, rapid iterative improvements)]
ABSTRACT SELECTION PROCESS

All abstracts will be evaluated by reviewers, including upper year medical students, residents, and physicians, using the provided rubric

The top ten abstracts will be published as conference proceedings in the McGill Journal of Medicine
-
The top three abstracts will be invited to present their findings at the conference as a powerpoint presentation. The top presentation will be announced at the end of the conference as our finalist

The deadline for abstract submissions is 23h59 on
May 31st, 2024. Modifications to submitted abstracts beyond this date will not be considered.
